MC Power Companies and Independence Power and Light successfully collaborated on this 14.72 megawatts DC community solar farm project. There are 11,664 330-watt tier one panels, four Solectria inverters, and Sunbelt transformers. The community solar farm was 100% subscribed or committed to by the time the farm was commissioned.

Independence Power and Light allowed customers to commit 40% of their current electric usage to the solar farm. With their commitment, they set their electric rate for 25 years and retain the SRECs generated to meet their renewable goals. There is a solar premium added onto their current rate for the number of kilowatts committed, and they pay an upfront security deposit that will be refunded in 2 years for residential and 5 years for commercial.
